We are seeking an experienced
Cybersecurity Specialist for one of our clients, a leading battery producer. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM, EDR, XDR, or MDR) and familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, C, C++, C#, Java, or PHP. This role will require a technical expert who can ensure the organization's IT systems are secure and protected against emerging cyber threats. You will also play a critical role in incident response, risk management, and vulnerability testing, providing proactive and reactive cybersecurity strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Intrusion Detection: Detect and mitigate intrusions within the organization’s computer systems, from malware to advanced persistent threats.
- Incident Response: Track, investigate, and resolve cybersecurity incidents, minimizing potential risks and damages.
- Risk Management: Evaluate cybersecurity risks associated with various activities and processes, ensuring informed decisions are made to enhance security.
- Ethical Hacking: Perform penetration testing and vulnerability scanning to proactively identify and rectify security flaws.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cybersecurity measures across all systems.
Essential Skills:- Expertise in SIEM, EDR, XDR, or MDR tools (Crowdstrike experience preferred).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, C, C++, C#, Java, or PHP.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, and switching.
- Experience in IDS/IPS, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment.
- Understanding of risk management and ethical hacking concepts.
Technical Skills:- Strong capabilities in intrusion detection, including recognizing and addressing malware, security breaches, and other threats.
- Expertise in incident response and threat mitigation processes.
- Ability to perform penetration testing and vulnerability scanning with precision.
- Proficiency in ethical hacking practices while adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
Soft Skills:- Exceptional problem-solving abilities to address complex cybersecurity issues.
- Strong organizational skills to manage large volumes of data and prioritize security measures.
- Critical thinking to assess security-related actions and decisions with careful consideration of company-wide impact.
Required Certifications:- CompTIA Security+: Fundamental knowledge in security access control, cryptography, and cloud computing risks.
- CompTIA CySA+: Focuses on network and application security, firewall configuration, and vulnerability assessment.
- Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) by EC-Council: Specialized in incident response and threat hunting within a Security Operations Center (SOC).
Travel Requirement:- This role will require travel for one week per month to various company sites, ensuring security measures and protocols are consistently maintained across the organization.
